Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Kathmandu

Today, you arrive in magical Kathmandu. An Expedition Base representative will collect you
from Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan Airport. It’s then a free day to recover from your international
flight. Later in the day, there will be a team briefing, gear check and welcome team dinner. For
those with an early arrival, there is a good chance you will want to dip your toes into
Kathmandu by a short walk to the main tourist area of vibrant Thamel.

Day 2

In Kathmandu

This is a free day for you to explore Kathmandu – although, for those who wish, we can arrange
a morning tour to Boudanath and Swayambhu, the main Buddhist and Hindi temples in
Kathmandu. This expansive city is home to 5 World Heritage sites. Kathmandu is a stunning
landscape of handcrafted wooden palaces (Durbar or palace squares of Kathmandu, Lalitpur
and Bhaktapur) and many temples and ornate buildings for you to see. Or, you might just want
to go to Thamel to catch the Kathmandu vibe!

Day 3

Fly Kathmandu to Pokhara (850m), trek to Australia Camp ~ 3 hrs

Today, we fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Nepal’s second largest city. We will then have a
short 1hr drive to Khare village, and from here we will start our trek to Dhampus village and
then a further short trek to Australia Camp at 1,900m. It’s a short 3 hour trek and suddenly you
find yourself with a feast for your eyes and senses with the Annapurna mountain range laid out
before you.

Day 4

Trek to Landruk (1,600m) ~ 5 hrs

This trek is spectacular, as you will walk through rhododendron forests with views of many
snowy Himalayan giants. The morning trail is relatively steep and then it becomes more
gradual as we approach our home for the night at Landruk, with abundant terraced fields and
landscapes for you to take in.

Day 5

Trek to Chomrung (2,020m) ~ 6 hrs

Today, you will weave in and out of rhododendron forests and down and up to a river before
continuing onto the village of Chomrung. As you will constantly experience on this trek, the
views of snowy Himalayan giants are spectacular.

Day 6

Trek to Tadapani (2,650m) ~ 6 hrs

Today, we experience undulating mixed terrain, see waterfalls, and lush flora and fauna. It is a
great day to trek slowly, keep your camera on the ready and relax and take it all in.

Day 7

Trek to Ghandruk (1,990m) ~ 3 hrs

Each day is as magical as the next as we have views, ever-changing terrain, and mountains
before our eyes. It’s a short day of trekking, giving you time to rest and relax once we reach
our stop for the night.

Day 8

Trek to Nayapul (1,000m), drive Pokhara ~ 5 hrs (plus drive)

Just a short trek today to Nayapul and back to Pokhara, where you will sleep overnight.

Day 9

Fly Pokhara to Kathmandu

It’s a scenic flight to Kathmandu for you to spend the rest of the day as you please: rest and
relax or take in some more sightseeing before you go – it is up to you.

Day 10

Depart Kathmandu

Goodbye Kathmandu and Nepal... until next time. See you again soon! We will be sad to see
you go.
